November 11, 1924, Tallahassee Centennial Parade celebrating 100 years since Tallahassee became a city and 100 years of Jackson Lodge #1. We had the Knights Templar and Easter Star in the parade with their own floats. The photos of the Knights Templar are mistaken for the Knights of Columbus due to the uniform similarity and both wear chapeaus. However, you can see the Beauseant in the background which is the Templar Banner. Eliza Marshall is Hope; Eleanor Grimes is Charity, and Ruth Lewis is Faith all representing Eastern Star. You can also see the unveiling of the replica of the first capitol building that was built by the Boy Scouts where Jackson Lodge #1 first conducted their meeting before building the first Lodge. In 2024, Jackson Lodge #1 will be celebrating 200 years of Freemasonry in Florida.
